It’s Not Easy Being Green

I am participating (for the first time) in the Rubbernecker Stamps challenge to make a masculine card. This is always a good challenge for me, especially this time of year.  Father’s Day is just around the corner (I know it is still March, but this year is flying by!), and summer brings about a lot of male birthdays.

I combined that challenge with this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch #489 and came up with this card:
I used Club Scrap Metallic Re-inkers (no longer available) on black glossy cardstock to create the background.  The frog is a Club Scrap stamp (from the Artifacts kit).  It was stamped with Distress Embossing ink, embossed with Hyacinth Blue Jade ep from Lindy’s Stamp Gang, and colored in with Green Apple Smooch ink.  It is “roughly” fussy cut.

Here are the other supplies that I used:
**Paper from Club Scrap.

**Pinking Circle Stacklets dies from Taylored Expressions, and Standard Circles die from Spellbinders.

**ribbon is from Club Scrap (Vogue kit), altered with E09 Copic marker.

**Sentiment stamp is from Club Scrap (Lotus Pond kit) stamped with Sapphire Club Scrap ink.  It is on a wooden “paddle” which was colored with Mowed Lawn Distress ink and edged with Chipped Sapphire Distress marker.  The “paddle” was also cut to make it a little shorter.

Thanks for stopping by!
